Yes, I think all the BS has hurt the credibility of marketing in general, even though there are still ethical marketers out there.

My problem with videos are that the presenters spend a lot of time going on and on and on, I like it when they get to the meat, and not have to wait and watch their slow typing, thats what cut and paste are for. I look forward to these videos if they do not do the afrementioned things.

I’m not asking you for the solution or why that concept seems to be missed or forgotten in all the kajabi-like hype of the week.

I have the solution but people actually get scared when they hear it doesn’t cost anything to join what? TRIBES like Seth Godin’s book.

I agree 100% with you Jeff, it’s not really about the product itself it’s about the customer being able to take action on what they learn from the product.

I’m a website developer, so in my line of work the proof is in the pudding. But it’s not about the website, it’s good reliable content from a trusted source, who’s business ethics are above board.

I personally don’t like all the hype either. I don’t mind the build up to a launch, I learn from the process, it’s the mile long sales copy that really irks me. It’s like they need validation, or they have to prove something.

It’s really not about the proof. The customer wants to know if it’s simple enough for them to follow so they can achieve similar or moderate results.

I’d like to see, what these videos area all about. thanks for letting me ramble.

Yes, indeed, I’ve been caught several times with what is called the ‘upsell’. Trouble is, it isn’t really an upsell but a baited trap and I believe it to be illegal in the UK and probably many other law abiding countries.

The reason I say this is that one is not given any opportunity to there and then refuse the original sale but you have to go through with it, pay up, and then consider whether to bother Clickbank for a refund.

The plain truth is that we are offered one price and a catalogue of product attributes only to find that they have separate prices added to them so what is delivered is not what you were offered unless you pay extra!

To me this is an illegality and really is rather like ‘switch marketing.

I have had aWeber active for over a year, and only have 29 people on it. But I notice that in just 1 of my WordPress blogs (I probably have 17 or more) it has received the email addresses of 750 people or so.

Is there some way for me to access, and use, those emails collected by my WordPress blogs? Thanks.

I remember an interview with Phil Collins once from the band Genesis just after the punk fad came in. There was a lot of stuff about trees being shook and all the bad apples came off the tree…suddenly Genesis and the prog rock scene was being dumped into that equation as well – and he said he didn’t like it much as he felt they weren’t the same as all the other bands…

…my point is if you monetize this blog or push any product then you’re going to be doing the same thing…what would be great would be to have some kind of independent board which says this works or that works or that definitely doesn’t work.

Let me tell you this that has worked for me that has earned my company around $700,000 so far…hard work!

creating lots of web pages with lots of content. In order to create that content i’ve compiled lots of lists and I’ve used lots of spreadsheets to create lots of websites…so in a nutshell…

keywords – content with the keywords and lots of pages / websites for each keyword.

That’s what works people!

How to make money with a WordPress blog is what I’m most interested in as I have two blogs in the Weight Loss/Fitness niche.

I agree with the other comments about how marketers go on and on in the videos about the same stuff about them self’s and not get to the product until the last five minutes and you can’t fast forward. I my self won’t bother to sit listen to these anymore and waist my time to find out I don’t want it at the end.

Another thing that I am getting tired of is that nobody will tell you what you are really buying. Its like they are afraid to tell you what it is that they are selling. Like software… no screen shots, no examples, no videos showing how it works.

Upsells after you buy the Product. They want you to purchase the ad on’s for the Product. Not very honest marketing.

On the face it, your approach seems refreshing. Per the quiz, it seems that all three of those survey questions are interrelated. What people need to know is how to drive traffic. The rest is comparatively easy.

I would like to thank everyone who participated in the survey. We do have a clear winner. It seems that most people would like to learn how to build a money-making blog with WordPress. Charles is going to start on the videos now and I will post to the blog when they are ready.

This one line from your content post really disturbs me, “Look, we all know that everyone who purchases ANY product (no matter how good) is not going to be successful.” REALLY!

Marketers WILL NOT SHARE the main ingredient that gets their websites traffic. It is a closely guarded secret which you only learn by putting yourself in the game for at least a year, minimum.

Honestly, I believe it’s either in the code where they connect web sites to the DNS system which opens up a whole other hallway of things to learn such as “Cookie Stuffing” and other tricks online marketers use to get shoppers to pay them even after they have left their sites.

or, Seriously it can only be A FEW THINGS. Either the code is manipulated with at the DNS level, manipulated code on websites, or a level of dealing with search engines which is NEVER marketed, or these marketers just SPAM the HELL out of everyone. Really what else can it be? Yes there is the fact that things can go VIRAL but that’s just the same as buying a lottery ticket.

All the other CRAP of Engaging and Communicating with your target market is just to teach you how to gossip and socialize on the net, it really doesn’t do a damn thing for your business. Seriously, just look at any given site and look at the comment activity. If there are no comments, then it’s a site which isn’t USED.

Charles Kirklands 18 videos are exactly what people want to know. These videos were informative, helpful and for the most part completely void of the traditional BS you get from most marketers.
